Sterling End Caps

Pre-Cut 3:1 Polyolefin Heat Shrink Tubing Pieces in black. These are used to finish off the ends of your rope such as Oplux, Ultra-Tech, TRC, and Beal. These ropes are heat-resistant and do not seal when burning like other ropes. We recommend that you place a wrap of electrical tape where you need to cut your rope. Then use a heated razor blade to cut through the center of the tape wrap. Place one of these shrink tube pieces over the end, allowing it to hang off by about 1/8″, then shrink with a hair dryer or heat gun. Press the end of the rope into a metal surface for about 5 seconds to crimp the end.

Available in two sizes:

• 1/2″ x 3/4″ – for 8mm and above (Resc Tech, Camo Elite, Oplux, Ultra-Tech)
• 3/8″ x 3/4″ – for under 8mm (TRC, Beal cordelette)

Keep in mind, if you are ordering these ropes from Eastern Woods Outdoors, we will cut and seal the ends with these caps for you. These caps are in case you need extras after cutting your rope down further, or if you need them for other ropes.
